Join us this May at the National Piping Centre for the Bellows Gathering 2026, a 2.5-day course celebrating bellows-blown piping traditions, delivered in partnership with the Lowland and Border Pipers’ Society.
Through workshops, sessions, one-to-one lessons and informal recitals, you’ll explore topics including reed making, instrument setup, session repertoire, Gàidhlig song with smallpipes, the history of bellows pipes and tunes from related traditions.
Participants must bring their own instrument and have prior playing experience.

The Autumn Gathering
Be part of The NPC Autumn Gathering in-person at The National Piping Centre this October.
This fantastic four days of learning has been developed to make this an immersive, fun experience. Across the four days you will have teaching from our World Class instructors. As well as this there will be masterclass workshops, as well as group teaching and performing as a pipe corps. There will also be hands on workshops, practice time, group teaching and more. The timetable will also include social activities such as a piping pub quiz, whisky tasting and instructor recital.
